How should I log inspection findings while I am still at the vehicle?

Write each finding down while you are still looking at it. Memory softens severity once you leave the lot.

Use clear labels: Pass, Needs Attention, Fail, and Not Checked. The current web product does not record those marks for you.

Change what you are willing to pay only after the finding is named. A number that moves without a reason is harder to defend later.

If the lot has no signal, download the Captain's Report PDF before you go. There is no offline in-app logging in the current web product.
